Self-compassion, psychoeducation and validation are all things I try to incorporate into therapy. If you're feeling like you don't understand why you can't achieve your goals or find the motivation to get out of bed, I understand. Questions and even doubts can be a great catalyst for change. Understanding how our brains and our bodies are wired is an important part to understanding why we do what we do and how we can change.
I enjoy working with people of all ages. I have experience with adolescents and adults and I am devoted to helping people get to where they want to be. I am passionate about helping individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and self-harm. I believe in a person-centered, non-judgmental approach and I embrace compassion, diversity and authenticity.
Sometimes life is challenging! That's a fact and maybe even an understatement. Asking for help can be uncomfortable but shows a tremendous amount of strength. I believe in the therapeutic process and walking beside my clients. As someone who has experienced therapy from the other side, the client is the expert. My role as a therapist is to provide a safe non-judgmental setting where we can work together. The client is the one who does the really work.
